Friday Change-over

Ruby Cottage is a 2 bedroom bungalow set in large secluded gardens at Hillhead on the outskirts of Brixham. This charming and much-loved property was built by the owners family in 1953 and has been cherished ever-since as a family holiday retreat. Although the property has been carefully maintained, the owners have been mindful to preserve the original character throughout which adds a special charm and a relaxing ambience, reminiscent of a bygone age when life was a lot less complicated! The owners still use Ruby Cottage extensively and there is a wide selection of books, games, children's toys and beach equipment available for your use, in addition to WiFi internet access.

Leading outside from the lounge there is a large decking area with distant sea views, overlooking the spacious and secluded gardens which provide ample room for children to run about and play. For the winter months the bungalow has full central heating and a log fire for cosy nights in. The property is well located to reach the many beaches in Torbay by car within a few minutes, or to enjoy a countryside walk along the coastal path to to Mansands beach directly from the back garden. In addition there are two National Trust properties within walking distance, Coleton Fishacre with it magnificent gardens and Greenway House the holiday home of Agatha Christie.

Kitchen: Electric oven, toaster, iron and original vintage fridge. Sitting room: Open fire, TV with dvd player and Freeview, books, original artwork, view of garden with sea glimpses.
Master bedroom: Double bed, bedside lights, Victorian chest of drawers with antique mirror.
Second bedroom: Single bed with bedside light, pair of bunk beds with reading lights, travel cot, children’s books, toys and games Bathroom Original enamel bath, washbasin and WC (please note there is no shower, hot water for baths by immersion heater)
Garage: Washing machine, tumble drier and freezer.
Outside: Spacious decking with table and chairs and distant sea views. large garden and driveway parking for three cars.

Weekly change-overs are on a Friday, we do not charge booking fees and prices are fully inclusive of gas and electricity. For bookings of 2 weeks we will be pleased to offer you a discount of £30 to the combined weekly prices. For information on short breaks see here. We require a 30% deposit (minimum £100 per week) to secure your booking with the balance 8 weeks before departure, we accept cheques, card payments and online bank transfers and details of our payment options are here
